The Honda Jazz was the undisputed king of the compact hatchback right up to the point that it was unfortunately discontinued in the Malaysian market. Let’s get one thing clear about vehicle ownership. Buying a car and maintaining a car are two very different aspects of the proprietorship experience… and the latter is something plenty of us are guilty of not factoring into the equation which can then become an expensive sum. First launched in 2017, the Honda City (GM7) and (GP5) Jazz Sport Hybrid i-DCD variants were Honda’s answer for buyers who wanted class-leading fuel efficiency and zippy power in a relatively affordable vehicle. At launch the GM7 City and GP5 Jazz Hybrid were the most affordable hybrid vehicles on sale in Malaysia, crucially dipping under the RM 100k mark, priced at RM 89.2k and RM 87.5k respectively. UPDATE for July 2023: For a limited time period, CARSOME is offering an additional 1+1 year warranty for selected units of Honda Jazz. Find out more here. ----------------------------- Having sampled the Honda City Hatchback recently – which no doubt is a superb product – we felt a lingering feeling, that though better, it has lost some of the charm of the preceding Honda Jazz (GK) delivered in spades. For one beyond, its cutesy looks, the GK Jazz was a giant killer in terms of space and packagi

The Honda Jazz is also known as Fit in some regions, and it’s a bit of a funny story as to how the name ‘Jazz’ came about. Honda originally intended the name to be ‘Fitta’, and upon discovering that it is a slang word for vagina in Swedish, they decided to go with a different nameplate instead. It’s even funnier when the intended slogan for the Honda Jazz/Fit was ‘Small on the outside, big on the inside.’ Oh boy. Anyway, compared to other Honda models like the Civic or Accord, the Jazz hasn’t be
