[WapCar] The driving assistance image displays the environment around the vehicle in real time through the on-board camera, which is convenient for the driver to observe, removes blind spots and blurred vision defects, improves driving safety, and provides convenience for driving, parking, and reversing.
At present, there are three main types of driving assistance images. Among them, the penetration rate of reversing images is relatively high. The panoramic images and the blind spot images of the vehicle side are only used in some models.
Reverse image
Compared with the reversing radar, the reversing image is more intuitive and practical. The reversing radar relies on the echo detection distance and prompts through sounds of different frequencies, but sensors may not detect objects closer to the ground, such as parking stops. However, the reversing image video provides a clear view of the situation behind the car, which is convenient for the driver to observe.
The reversing video camera is installed in the rear of the car. When the reverse gear is engaged, the system will automatically switch on the camera at the rear of the car, and display the rear conditions on the LCD screen of the central control or rearview mirror.
The more advanced reversing video image can mark two reversing guide lines on the display, and the reversing curve will follow when the steering wheel rotates, so as to accurately trace the reversing trajectory.
Blind spot image of car side
Install a camera on the right rearview mirror, and we can see the vehicle in the blind spot of the field of view on the display. Through this technology, the right rearview mirror is increased from 20 degrees to 80 degrees, which makes driving safer more secure.
The function of this function is to reduce the visual blind angle of the rearview mirror, assist in expanding the field of view, and can confirm the wider field of view in the rear when preparing to change the lane, providing a more realistic guarantee for the safety of everyone inside and outside the car .
Panoramic image
The panoramic image can fully take care of the surrounding perspective. The core of this system is to add multiple cameras on the front and side of the car, so as to obtain real-time images of the surrounding of the vehicle.
These image data will be sent back to the image processing unit first. In the image processing unit, the computer will deform and stitch them to form a bird's-eye view of the car roof. Such a unique perspective can well help drivers who lack "car feel" to understand their direction and location.
If you are afraid that the bird's-eye view will affect the observation of details, you can also select other independent views on the display by switching the screen. This ensures that multiple directions can be taken into account when reversing, and with radar ranging, the difficulty of reversing into position is greatly reduced.
