China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently published documents and photos revealing the new 2025 BYD Dolphin facelift. Based on the images, it seems the new Dolphin will gain a minor visual redesign with a new, tweaked front bumper design. The changes are not that obvious unless you place both the facelift and pre-facelift Dolphins side by side. Meanwhile, the side profile doesn’t reveal many changes as the facelift seems to retain the slashes and semi-flushed door handles.

BYD recently announced a recall of nearly 97,000 vehicles in China due to a manufacturing issue. According to a report from Reuters, the recall affects Dolphin and Yuan Plus models produced between November 2022 and December 2023.
