BYD will be adding a new model, the BYD M6, in Malaysia soon. This was confirmed by Liu Xueliang, General Manager of BYD Asia Pacific Auto Sales Division, at an event in China in August. The BYD M6 is a fully electric (BEV) MPV that is currently available in Thailand and Indonesia. Grab, the Singapore-based e-hailing giant, is set to add over 1,000 battery electric vehicles (BEVs) to its Indonesia fleet by year's end, with a significant portion of it being the BYD M6, reports Nikkei Asia. Thailand will be the next Southeast Asian country to launch the BYD M6, after the 7-seater battery EV (BEV) model’s regional debut in Indonesia in July.
