    Ferrari F8 Tributo Overview

    The Ferrari F8 Tributo is the latest V8 mid-rear-engined supercar from Maranelo. As the name implies, it is a tribute to the most powerful V8 engine ever to be fitted on the Prancing Horse’s classic two-seater Berlinetta. 

    The award winning 3.9 litre twin-turbo V8 engine now makes 49 Hp more than it did in its predecessor, the Ferrari 488 GTB, for a grand total of 710 Hp. In all its glory, the engine can be viewed through the new lightweight slated Lexan engine cover, a nod to Ferrari’s most famous model, the F40.

    Malaysia became the first country in the region (after China) to debut the Ferrari F8 Tributo when it was launched back in 2019. It showcases Ferrari’s new design language that will set the foundation for all its future new generation models. It is all yours for a starting price of RM 1,068,000 (excluding duties and options).

    • Performance- The award winning 3.9 litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine is the most powerful V8 engine ever to be fitted on a series production Ferrari with record specific engine output of 185 PS per litre.

    • Transmission- Ferrari’s lightning quick 7-speed dual clutch transmission is one of the best in the business. In manual mode with PS (Partenza Sportiva or launch control) activated, the car launches from 0 to 100 km/h in a mind bending 2.9 seconds at a flick of the right paddle.

    • Ride and Handling- The magnetorheological dampers have been re-tuned to improve ride comfort, which is about as good as you can expect in a supercar. Ferrari’s notoriously quick steering also means that its incredibly agile in the corners too.

    • Complicated Steering Control- The new generation button-laden steering can be confusing to use at time. While it is an improvement over the 488 GTB’s, it certainly takes some getting used to even for seasoned Ferrari drivers.

    • Price- Taking into account the local taxes and duties, you are looking to pay about RM 2.5 million for the base model. And that is excluding any optional extra and personalization.
