Isuzu Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (IMSB) is a tripartite venture between Isuzu Motors Limited, DRB-HICOM Group Bhd and Mitsubishi Corporation. Incorporated in 2004, they are the official distributor of Isuzu vehicles in Malaysia. Presently, there is only one model available - the D-Max - which is locally assembled in the Hicom plant in Pekan. There are a number a variants to choose from depending on requirements, ranging from the 1.9L 4x2 Low-Ride to the 3.0L 4x4. Isuzu announces RM 4.1 billion investment in Thailand to build EV pick-up truck export hub

Isuzu Motors has announced a significant THB 32 billion (~RM 4.1 billion) investment in Thailand to kickstart the manufacturing of battery cells and production of EV pick-up trucks in the region. The Thai investment is part of a larger JPY 1 trillion (~RM 32.1 billion) to be funnelled across the company until 2030, as the company hopes to make Thailand a production and export hub for EV pick-up trucks, The Bangkok Post reports.
