Toyota Fortuner

"Appearing alongside the 2021 Toyota Innova is the 2021 Toyota Fortuner. The refreshed, locally-assembled (CKD) 7-seater SUV comes with an exterior refresh and beyond that, a new engine from the Toyota Hilux Rogue.

The headlining new feature here is the engine fitted on the range-topping 2.8 VRZ 4x4. It's now fitted with the Hilux Rogue's 2.8-litre turbodiesel (1GD-FTV) engine that makes 204 PS and 500 Nm, mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. Meanwhile, the 2.7 SRZ keeps its 166 PS/245 Nm engine and the 2.4 variant (only available in East Malaysia) runs on the same 150 PS, 400 Nm petrol-powered mill as before.

The facelifted Fortuner bears a new face with bi-beam (2.7 SRZ) or quad-beam (2.8 VRZ) LED headlights. There's a set of new 18-inch, dual-tone wheels too. Beyond that, there's a choice of six colours - Medium Silver Metallic, Silver Metallic, Attitude Black Mica, Phantom Brown Metallic, Super White II and the new Bronze Mica Metallic, from which the White and Bronze can be specified with black A-pillars, side mirrors, roof spoiler and roof (2.8 VRZ only).

Moving inside, the red/black dual-tone interior sports a new marble-like pattern around the gearlever surround. The 2.7 SRZ and 2.8 VRZ variants also get ambient lighting, electrochromic rearview mirror, and electric seats adjustment for both the driver and front passenger. Also, the Fortuner is now equipped with a hands-free, powered tailgate with a kick sensor.

Another notable inclusion of Toyota Safety Sense (TSS) suite of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) on the 2.8-litre VRZ variant. The system includes Pre-collision System (AEB), Lane Departure Alert, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control and Yaw Assist Function.

Prices for the Fortuner are: RM 203,183 (2.8 VRZ), RM 172,244 (2.7 SRZ) and RM 167,357 (2.4 AT)."
