Pros
Space is the best part of my Toyota Hilux. So lucky for me that I bought the single cab version because my single cab version has a larger truck bed than my friend’s double cab version! Very good for me to load cargos.
Cons
Engine performance is not as good as its rivals. I can clearly feel the slower and weaker power delivery than my last pickup - Mitsubishi Triton.

Space

Perfect. I buy it for its huge space. Lots of storage room can be easily found inside the cabin and the boot space is big. The surprising thing is that I can trip up the rear seats to load more cargos underneath!

Power

I know it is already enough for basic needs. But the power delivery is too bad though. Compared with my last pickup – Mitsubishi Triton, the Toyota Hilux has a low engine output.

Ride & Handling

The Hilux's steering is on the heavier end of the scale. Steering response is predictable.

Fuel Economy

It returns me a fuel economy around 8.5-litre / 100 km. Acceptable.

Comfort

Engine noise of Toyota Hilux is actually a bit loud. I hope Toyota could fix this problem. As for seats comfort, it is enough for daily use. But I think my Triton is more comfortable.

Exterior

If you like it, you like it. If you don’t, you don’t. I am good with Toyota Hilux’s exterior, from my opinion, it is good-looking. But I am not buying cars for their exterior but the practicality.

Interior

To me, Toyota Hilux’s interior is very practical as it features a number of cubby holes to store various small items.
