The Toyota Sienta is Toyota’s compact 7-seater MPV first introduced to the Malaysian market in 2016. Derived from the Spanish word “siete” which means “seven”, the 7-seater MPV was first introduced in Japan back in 2003 based on the subcompact hatchback Toyota Yaris.
The second-generation Toyota Sienta comes directly imported as CBU from the neighbouring Indonesia. A mild refresh is introduced back in 2018 and Toyota has since dropped the lower spec 1.5 G variant from its lineup. The Toyota Sienta in the 1.5 V trim is the sole variant on sale with minor improvements.
The Toyota Sienta aims to appeal to the younger audience especially those with family with its practical layout, unique features, quirky exterior design and a cleverly packaged interior.
Starting from RM97,000, the Japanese compact MPV is competitively priced amongst its competitors which include the likes of the Honda BR-V, Perodua Aruz, Proton Ertiga and the Mitsubishi Xpander.
