Volvo says that compared with the previous equivalent pure petrol T4 powertrain, the B4 saves around 7g/km of CO2 - a reasonable chunk - and just over one mile per gallon of fuel, which is rather less impressive.Oct 30, 2020
What's the difference between the Volvo XC40 T4 and T5?
The major difference here is that the T4 is equipped with a turbocharger while the T5 comes with a supercharger. The T4 gets you around 187 horsepower. The T5 increases this amount up to 248 horses with 258 pounds-feet of torque. Both of these engines offer excellent fuel efficiency for this class of vehicle.
