  • Interior Design- The interior design is modern and feels upmarket. While the i-Cockpit layout may not be for everyone, the attention to detail is commendable and the materials used are luxurious to the touch.

  • Performance- Matching the 1.5 L turbocharged Honda Civic 0-100Km/h time of 8.2 seconds, it is one of the quickest C-segment cars off the line thanks partly to the 245 Nm of torque which is available down low from 1,400 RPM.

  • Exterior Design- The Peugeot 408 shares the same elegant corporate front end as the hatchback equivalent but unfortunately is let down by the lacklustre rear design.

  • Fuel Economy- Compared to the rest of the competitor in the segment, the 6.5L/100Km fuel consumption figure is far from satisfactory especially when compared to the frugal 1.4 L engine on the Volksawagen Jetta.

  • Features- Onboard infotainment system lacks modern connectivity features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Also lacking is any ADAS features such as Autonomous Emergency Braking, which is made available on the Peugeot 308.
