Which car is better, the Lamborghini Urus or the BMW i8?

Depends on how you like your socks. Confused ? Let me explain. 2019 Lamborghini Urus Urus is an SUV (or a Super SUV as Lamborghini is marketing it) that’s powered by a a 4.0 Lt Twin Turbo V8 making 650Bhp and boatloads of torque. This is as fast as an SUV can ever be, topping out at 304Kmph. It can go off the asphalt but…. that’s about it. Not a serious offroader by any means. It’s big, it’s brash, it’s a Lamborghini,. BMW’s i8, on the other hand, is mostly a design exercise gone very right. 2016 BMW i8 Sure, it’s a hybrid with a a Mini’s 1.5lt 3 cylinder engine with the electric motor making about 350 BHP. The car, with those futuristic body lines, those butterfly doors and a hybrid to boot, makes for a great sports car for the environmentally conscious. 2019 BMW i8 Spyder To put it simply, these two are very different to draw a rational comparison, let alone determine which one’s better.

It is a fact that Electric cars are the future cars. How soon we can see them in India?

Electric cars have arrived India since long time but their range were very less and their designs were not good but with the evolution in batteries and Design it seems electric vehicles will dominate the market within next decade . Some best upcoming electric cars in India are : .1, ,Tata Tigor EV, Tata Motors showcased the Tigor EV at 2018 Auto Expo. The company has got the deal to supply EVs to government officials along with Mahindra. The company has already supplied 350 units to EESL and the second phase will begin in 2019. The Tigor EV continues the same design theme of regular Tigor and except for EV badges people won’t be able to recognise it. Tata Motors has given a smaller battery for Tigor EV to keep price competitive as increasing battery will take price of Tigor out of budget for most people. Tata Tigor EV uses a 216 Ah 16 V battery and 3-Phase AC Induction Motor producing 39.95 hp of power, even though this out is less compared to combustion powered Tigor. The Tigor EV has a claimed range of 130 km which is adequate for daily driving and city usage along with a top speed of 100 kph. According to Tata Motors, Tigor EV can be charged from zero to 80 percent in just 90 minutes with a fast charger and 3 hours with normal charger. To improve range, Tata Motors has given regenerative braking system. The electric motor is mated to a single speed automatic transmission and power is sent to front wheels. We can good acceleration from Tigor EV thanks to instant torque output of electric motors. In the exterior, Tata Motors has given EV lettering in blue colour on front grille and EV decals on the side to make people aware that it is not a regular Tigor. The interior of Tigor EV continues to be same and comes with same features like climate control, push button start, key less entry, alloy wheels, infotainment system with Bluetooth and more. We are expecting Tata Motors to launch Tigor EV by the end of this decade. Expected India Launch : 2019 Expected Price : Rs. 10-11 lakh 2.Hyundai Kona Electric, :Hyundai has already expressed its desire to launch the electric version of the Kona SUV that would be the South Korean auto major’s effort to grab a chunk of the Indian EV market. With the Indian government gearing up to introduce pure electric mobility across the country by 2030, The Kona EV could play a crucial role for the brand. While the regular version of this SUV is ready to hit the domestic market sometime next year, expect the electric powered model to arrive here by 2020. Speaking about the Hyundai Kona EV, it would feature identical design as the regular model. However, there could be some distinctive features as well making it different compared to the standard model with combustion engine. The Hyundai Kona appears with a really unique design that grabs attention at the very first glance. It sports some key design elements that are very different than the conventional Hyundai models. It is based on a new platform, therefore we expect the battery on under the floor of the EV won’t minimise the space for the occupants. Expect several upmarket features to be there. On the powertrain front, Hyundai Kona EV will get an efficient battery pack offering long range and a powerful electric motor. Expect the SUV to offer around 390 km running range as this is going to be a key element for the success of the EV. Hyundai is planning to uncover the SUV in the first half of 2018. The India-spec model could be priced at around Rs. 22 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). Expected India Launch: 2019 Expected India Price: Rs. 22 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi) 3. The Nissan has just unveiled its new Leaf with an attractive and sharp styling. Expect this electric powered car to arrive here next year. It features a flat-bottom multifunction three-spoke steering wheel, analog and digital display consisting instrument cluster with sporty touch, a large touchscreen infotainment system. The car offers generous amount of space and comfort to the occupants and it sports upmarket quality materials inside the cabin enhancing premiumness. The car gets loads of safety features and advanced techs to be the inside the cabin. On the powertrain front, the current Nissan Leaf EV can run up to 228 km and 280 km with the two battery packs on offer with the car, that are a 24 kWh and a 30 kWh unit. New model gets a bigger 40 kWh lithium-ion battery pack that kicks out around 148 bhp of peak power and 320 Nm of peak torque. It could deliver a running range of around 242 km. The India-spec model is expected to come here as a CBU unit, that would make it a pricey car here. It is likely to be displayed at the 2018 New Delhi Auto Expo and the new Leaf EV could be priced at around Rs. 20 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). Expected India Launch: 2019 Expected India Price: Rs. 20 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi) 4.Tata Tiago EV, : While Tata Nano EV would be the entry level electric car from Tata Motors, the Tiago EV would arrive as a more premium model. Tata Tiago regular model has already garnered pretty much attention and positive response from the buyers. At the LCV 2017, Tata Motors has displayed the Tiago EV concept that appears as attractive as the regular model and it could arrive in the country by 2020. Upon launch, this would play important role in making Tata Motors a major player in the Indian EV market. Speaking about the design, Tata Tiago EV gets identical design as the internal combustion engine powered model. It gets a smiling pattern black front grille with sleek chrome trim at the bottom, sharp headlamps, a sculpted looking front bumper with black air intake featuring a horizontal slat through the centre, chrome bezel around fog lamps. As the Tata Tiago EV Concept has been showcased, it gets the same design at side profile as well. Expect the Tiago EV to be displayed in India at the 2018 New Delhi Auto Expo and it would be launched here by 2020. It is likely to be priced between Rs. 8 lakh and Rs. 10 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
