bmw m4 side mirror Q&A Review

Would you get a Chevy Camaro? Why or why not?

I traded my 2014 mustang v6 for a 2018 Camaro SS back in February. The reason I bought it was because of the 6.2 liter v8 engine with 455 HP and 455 lb-ft. that was taken from the Corvette Stingray. It shares it’s chassis from the Cadillac platform, which is seen on the ATS-V. This is amazing to have and to drive on the streets because of the amount of torque that’s available in the lower rpms. It makes passing a lot easier while being less dramatic. Most cars would have you down shift and to be at a higher rpm like the mustang GT. The Camaro SS has it all. The noise from the engine sounds great coupled with the NPP exhaust, which is an option that allows you to change how loud you want it. The handling of the Camaro is far superior to anything in its price range excluding the Corvette. Add in the 1LE package and now it’s competing on a different level. Lap times from Laguna Seca shows that it is faster than the Audi R8 v10, BMW M4, and even the base Corvette Stingray. The Camaro SS 1LE is competing with these cars while being 10s of thousands cheaper. Here are reasons why people don’t buy it: The visibility is extremely poor. Without the back up camaro, which does come standard on all trims, it would nearly be impossible to reverse without hitting something. The side pillars by the mirrors are huge. I actually have to move my head forward or sit up straight to look behind. I had zero problems driving the mustang that didn’t have sensors or a back up camera. The stock one tires don’t last that long so depending on how you drive expect to change it out within 10–15K miles. I’ve heard stories of them running bald 4K miles. It’s a coupe. Luckily Cadillac has a 4 door with the same chassis but with a 3.6 liter twin turbo v6 cranking out 464 HP. Some people don’t like the style of it so they wouldn’t buy it. And that’s all the reasons, that I can think of, that people wouldn’t buy it.

What are the parts that can be replaced by carbon fiber in automobiles?

Is the BMW Concept 4 the replacement to the 4 series?

First I’ll answer the question that you asked directly: No, the BMW Concept 4 is not the replacement to the 4 Series. It is merely a concept car, rather than a production, as the name suggests. Now to answer the question which I think you were trying to ask (Is the BMW Concept 4 an indication of what to expect in the next BMW 4 Series?): ABSOLUTELY! The purpose of the Concept 4 is to showcase the design language of the upcoming 4 Series, although it wasn’t necessary as we all know that the 4 Series will be a blend of the 3 Series and the 8 Series visually. There are a few things on the Concept 4 that will definitely be absent in the next 4 Series. Firstly, the Kidney Grille (more like the Lung Grille if you ask me). It will definitely go down in size to resemble that of the 3 Series, albeit slightly shorter and wider to accentuate it’s coupe credentials. The thin headlights on the Concept will be tossed too. As much as I believe that the 4 Series will have narrower headlights than it’s 3 Series sibling, they will be modeled after the 8 Series’ design rather that be taken straight out of the Concept 4. To round up the front of the car, the bumper on the 4 Series will get a cosmetic nip/tuck as well. I suspect the 4 Series will have the M-Sport package as standard, which means is front bumper will not look any different to that of the 3 Series with an M-Sport package fitted on. Moving on to the side of the car, there isn’t much to talk about here other than to say we should expect the design of he side profile on the production 4 Series to look exactly like that of the Concept 4. I expect this rim design to be available as well, as it is directly pulled out of the 8 Series. The side mirrors and the door handles will definitely change to the more normal design in the 3 Series. BMW would rather dig into the parts bin for these items rather than spend the extra Euro on designing completely new ones for a car that already shares a platform with its best selling model ever. Ah, the rear. Expect a ton of changes here. First the rear bootlid will definitely be less angular. Expect a carbon-copy of the 8 Series boot lid. Secondly, the rear lights. That’s obvious. I expect them to be replaced for a more modest light that is more straightedge rather than angular, as it is on the Concept. I expect BMW to make the rear lights resemble those on the X4, as they look slightly sleeker on the inside edges instead of the more square angles on the 3 Series lights. However BMW might just tack on the 3 Series to manage costs, which is not a problem to me, or they might just surprise us and put the 8 Series lights on there, which would be awesome! Let’s wait and see on this one. The rear bumper and the exhaust tips will definitely be chucked in favor of the G20 3 Series M-Sport package bumper. Don’t expect those trapezoidal exhaust tips either, and expect a much smaller rear diffuser, if any. Side note: the rear diffuser on the Concept 4, along with the huge air intakes on the front bumper may be a signal of what to expect on the inevitable M3/M4. Just imagine all the changes that I suggested will be made for the production car, then add a dome on the bonnet, carbon fiber roof and quad tailpipes and lots of M-badges and there’s your M4.
