Are you aware of 2015 TLX ACC (adaptive Cruise Control) disengaging randomly?
Coming out with a new video soon about the term 'autopilot' and why that can be a complicated term to describe certain vehicle features, like adaptive cruise control or lane assist. But, before we give you our opinion, what's yours?
Adaptive cruise control is not AP, until it’s combined with lane assist. But the more serious issue than the name: when you disengage AP by turning the wheel it leaves CC on, so the car keeps moving. I almost crashed into a gate while doing a U-turn after disengaging w/ wheel.
There is no "unintended acceleration" in Tesla vehicles
@elonmusk I think people are manually disengaging autopilot with the steering wheel input thinking it will disengage everything. It doesn’t and I’ve been caught out by this when the car accelerates because adaptive cruise control is still engaged. It’s a gotchya.
