Hubby and I bought a Jeep Grand Cherokee and picked it up yesterday. I was driving a 2013 Hyundai Elantra I bought when I was 20. The amount of technology/gadgets this thing has is incredible yet scary. Adaptive cruise control? You hardly need a brain to drive anymore!

I have a car with Adaptive cruise control. The minimum distance at Which it works is nowhere near what a connecties car could. Exactly BECAUSE it can not communicate instantly with the car in front so has to rely on noticing a distance decrease.

Adaptive cruise control doesn’t need any type of connectivity. It works autonomously. The distance is large because of the settings car manufacturers have to abide to.What’s going to change to 5G if the cars still are not allowed to go closer to each other?

"No-one's going my speed"

I know it's a joke, but that's why I like adaptive cruise control. Maybe we all need a bit of adaptive cruise control on how we consider others.

Witnessing lots of questionable holiday driving. Convinced driver-assistance systems need to be standard in all cars. Adaptive cruise control, lane departure, lane centering, blind spot alerts. Like fluoride in the water, but on the road ...

I'm sure you will when you need it.I love them, and as soon as I got rid of mine there's already been at least one instance per month when I needed it, so I'm torn. I really shouldn't NEED it, but...Adaptive cruise control is to die for. So that's another issue.
