Ah dam I thought flat rate was the cheapest option since I jus speedran buying the hoodies. Is flat rate faster then standard?

Honestly me too so i didn't look too closely at all the shipping options so i just went with what was cheapest for me Idk how fast the flat rate would have been

Every time I hit the paywall for other news sites I'm reminded what an ABSOLUTE STEAL a subscription to @Suntimes is. $30/year and that's not a sale price, just our flat rate all the time. Truly have not seen this annual price anywhere else.

To be competitive, It's been recommended to me to charge a flat rate when I have been charging hourly. What do you recommend, my #postchat friends?

This is interesting. Is that the default/presumptive interpretation in Canada of a lease agreement that doesn't define it's terms?

Part board or what we used to call half-leasing where I'm from is typically 50% of all fees related to the horse, no flat rate up front. Points to consider include x rides per week, whether lessons are required, etc.

there's a labor arbitrage dynamic, but coupled to how hard it is to get labor or its products from place A to B. If it's code & requirements meetings over zoom, disparities should bid up fast. Note: not saying "trust in the market" but "something in the market smells foul."

and personally I've watched more than one startup recruit people all over the globe w/niche specialties at a flat rate, sometimes pulling them from amazon, fb, google, etc. b/c — guess what? — no wage penalty for living in arkansas or poland or wherever. all the same.

what i flat rate Q&A Review

What potential problems will I face by pricing the ads on my website at a flat rate cpc?

Well the biggest issue is CTR. Just because you're charging on a cost per click model that doesn't mean user will click on your ads. Lets say you charge $1 a click. If an ad has a 1% CTR that means you generate $10 for every 1,000 impressions (CPM) Now if an advertiser comes in with a 0.5% CTR you just your potential revenue in half. What I would suggest doing is use a service such as Google DoubleClick for Publishers Small Business (formally known as AdManager) https://www.google.com/intl/en_US/dfp/info/welcome.html -- You can set your advertisers up each on a Cost Per Click and Google will optimize which ads to show more frequently to maximize your revenue potential.

Will the university show me a breakdown of how my "flat-rate" tuition is being used? And what exactly my tuition is paying for, if i inquire?

No. That’s not how this works. You don’t see that $x were used to pay for Professor Smith, $y were used for a TA, $z were used for the classroom’s electricity. What you may be able to do is find the budget for your university. If you’re at a public institution you will be able to search for the budget and view it. I went to Google and searched for ‘public university budgets’ and found this on at the University of Florida: ,http://www.flbog.edu/about/budget/docs/2015-16_Combined-Final-Book.pdf But, that’s not strictly tuition as universities will also bring in grants, and those dollars are used to pay for various expenses as well. In addition, the endowment provides a source of revenue, as do donations.

I want to know what common vehicles are there with engine capacities between 2950cc to 4049cc? Our government has decided to tax the rich by introducing a flat rate tax on vehicles with larger engine capacities.

If you live in the UK, there is nothing common about a 3–4litre engine! Most are below 2 litre at around 15–1600cc.

What are the laws around unemployment and flat rate work? I know someone who is told they have to work in COVID-19 and their employer won’t fire them, and they are a flat rate technician.

If you have a paying job then you are not entitled to unemployment because you are not unemployed. Your friend should be happy that he/she has a job; precautions for working around others are well documented so COVID-19 should not be an issue.

What great theme may I buy for a flat rate subscription delivering unlimited graphic design service?

Not sure how much sense this question makes… graphic design services involve meeting with you and assessing your needs. A theme is a framework that drives a Wordpress website. Shutterstock is a company that can provide unlimited stock photos and graphics for a fee… you could put a graphic design company on retainer, but I suppose that would cost you thousands per month?

What will be the impact of GST on Property prices in Indian Metro cities?

May be YES ,! Before GST : In Maharashtra , customers have to pay ,4.5% service tax, and ,1 % VAT,. ,6% Stamp duty, on cost of unit. Therefore ,overall tax is 11.5%,. After GST : Goods and services tax will replace VAT and service tax. Under GST, there will ,12% flat tax rate,. In addition to this , ,6% Stamp Duty, separately customers have to pay on cost of unit ,it is not charged under GST. Therefore ,overall tax rate is 18%,. Will GST affects properties in Pune? At present situation “Yes”. But theoretically “No”. Because developers will likely to get ,input tax credit, and this can bring down the cost of the unit. Developers gets input tax credit on materials used for construction such as cement, sands, stainless steels etc. Input Tax Credit : Consider a example : You are a manufacturer. Suppose you purchased item A, B and C . Using A,B and C, you manufactured final product D. Tax paid, on purchase of ,A : RS 50 Tax paid, on purchase of ,B : RS 100 Tax paid ,on purchase of ,C : RS 150 Total tax paid, on purchase : ,RS 300 (A+B+C) Tax Paid, on manufactured final product ,D: RS 500 Now under input credit mechanism , you need to pay only RS 200 as you already have paid RS 300. Therefore your ,input credit is RS 300,. It depends on developer whether he/she pass on the credit earned on purchase to customers by reducing rates of the construction. I hope it helps. -Ashwin

What portion of my fare does an Uber driver make when I take a trip? Is it a flat rate or one that varies―if variable what are the factors?

Here is how it works: The passenger requests a ride from point A to point B. The app decides a possible route from point A to point B and calculates a cost so that Uber can make money and pay the driver as well. Ideally Uber makes at least 25% of the fare. Sometimes it calculates the ride based off of a not optimal route which increase teh cost of the ride while the driver takes the best route. The amount the driver makes is actually less than what Uber estimated so Uber keeps the additional amount for themselves. If there is a surge everything changes! They used to have a surge model that was a fixed percent increase. Fair for the driver, fair for uber. However, drivers complained that the surges disappeared so Uber came up with a different surge model that supposedly helps drivers make more money but it doesnt always work like that. They are trying to decrease the idea that drivers can make a lot of money on one long surge ride so drivers will be happy taking many shorter rides. It’s a confusing surge model. The reality is Uber still charges the passenger the multiplier, and gives the driver a smaller portion than they would get normally. I make less on surges now than I did before the change. Here are a few examples of multiplier surges: I made about 70% of the total cost of the fare, which seems pretty typical. I made about 70% of the total cost of the fare here too. Now, let’s look at how things changed when they implemented the ,fixed surge amount: In this example I made just under 60% of the total fare. About 10% less than I would have if it had been a multiplier surge. The passenger was not too thrilled about the cost of this ride. I made a similar amount as the previous example, just under 60%. If it had been a multiplier surge I would have made about 10% more. Something to keep in mind is surge trips discourage passengers from tipping due to the high cost. So not only did I only make $15-20 more than the typical fare, I didn’t get a tip due to the increased cost of the ride. Now I say this to be transparent about the surge pricing, and to be transparent about how much the driver actually takes home. Estimate about a 50–70% take home for the driver. I only included examples from Uber X trips to maintain consistency. It is the exact same for Uber XL trips and higher end ride types with the difference of the actual cost per mile and per minute. Every market is different so per mile and per minute rates vary.

If I used the wrong size flat-rate priority mail envelope (regular size vs. small), what happens?

The parcel sorting machine reads the barcode on the envelope or box to determine which Priority Mail package you have used. It also reads the information on the address label to see how much you have paid. If they don’t jibe then it is possible that it will be returned to you for the correct amount. If you have overpaid, there is no system to give you a partial refund.

What would the post office do if you shipped a solid block of lead or plutonium in a large flat rate box? I calculated the weight and cost:
