@HyundaiIndia I expected a 360 camera in the top level trim of Creta 2020, or at least front parking sensors. Looks like your cousin @KiaMotorsIN Seltos is the one who gets my money for this one reason.
Amongst the two, the Seltos offers more useful features than the Creta. It gets a 360-degree camera, blind spot monitor and front parking sensors over the Creta. Creta does gets some extra features in the form of panoramic sunroof, auto air purifier( seltos gets manual), paddle shifters with automatic variant but none of these features are not necessarily useful.
First off! This is a tough one and I’ll try my level best to answer it better in all possible ways by providing you why you should pick a certain vehicle and representing what are the up and down sides of it as well. Note : ,This is a long post but I’m sure that it’ll help you in making a better decision among the three vehicles you’ve mentioned in the question. So, you’ve taken the 3 best selling vehicles of the time (Though Kia Seltos is latest, its sales have climbed the leader throne faster than any other car in the segment) and picking one among the pack is not a difficult one but their design, features they offer and other aspects make it difficult to choose one instantly. Instead of digging deep about every car, I’ll give you an approach of what they’re like as well as my opinion on which one to pick but you figure out which one is best for you by looking at what’s good and bad about them. 1. 2020 Honda City : ,Its a one good looking sedan which has been ruling the indian market for quite some time in the compact sedan space. If you want space, bigger boot, reliable yet frugal engine that returns you a staggering 24kmpl mileage and also improved ride quality, then Honda City diesel should be on your cards. Before closing about the City, here are some reasons which you should be ok with once you buy it and they’re : 1. Its height has been decreased a bit whcih means that 6-footers should opt for the front seat in most cases but space wise, its really a great car. 2. Its length has been increased which in one case liberates more space and on the contrary, it might scrape the underbelly if there are large speed gliders on road.(do remember that these are not speed breakers but gliders that could let the vehicle scrape its underbody sometimes) 3. Honda said that they’ve improved the departure angle at front but, it might scrpae its bumper at front if the surface is short. (Considering the type of surfaces you get in apartments in most of the cities) 4. There’s no automatic that’s gonna take the effort of driving if you’re not a fan of MT’s unlike the case with the other two SUVs that are mentioned above and the Hyundai is offering Verna SX(O) MT i.e, top most diesel variant at just 16 lakhs on road which is 60k less than Honda City. 2. Kia Seltos : ,This is one such SUV that stood for its wild and edgt design that has mesmerized people with its all round performance be it in design, features, engines, drivability or even flexibility in options. Reasons why you should consider it are : 1. Its big on everything you could probably ask for as it has everything you’d require which is not offered by any other in the compact segment. 2. Design, features, engines and even the way it drives is all great. 3. Exclusive for the enthusiastic drivers. Though there are so many great reasons why you should prefer Kia Seltos, here are some why you should re-think before purchasing one. 1. Kia isn’t offering any fully loaded variant in diesel manual which is shocking even after they’ve launched the GTX+ AT in diesel which costs too high. 2. As I mentioned earlier that its a driver’s car which means its suespension is a bit stiff that takes a toll on the ride comfort. 3. Kia’s entry till now has crossed a year but after the launch of Hyundai Creta, everyone thought that Kia will update the Seltos with features like paddle shifters, electronic parking brake and other comfort oriented features but they didn’t. (This reason of their unupdation of features led it to slow down in sales from 2nd to 3rd after the launch of the 2020 Creta) 4. kia’s increase in prices is another reason why Seltos has become costly like now. 3. 2020 Hyundai Creta : ,Creta has been the king of the segment till the launch of Seltos but its arrival has actually made more good than bad because from then only, the carmakers especially Hyundai that has changed their assumption of “,Everyone will buy a Hyundai no matter what the price of it will be! “, . ,So, Kia is the one that has actually brought the change and opened the eyes of Hyundai that, customers are sure to encourage a newcomer if he has what it takes to surprise and also provide what a customer requires. Reasons why you should consider Creta : 1. I’m not a big fan of its design but I can tell you for sure that it’ll be looked upon by everyone for its distinct design. 2. Though the engines are same in Creta and Seltos, Creta is actually like a facelift for Seltos interms of features because Hyundai has incorporated them very properly like the big infotainment, panoramic sunroof, paddle shifters, ventilated seats, aircraft style gearlever, audi like steering, semi-digital cluster, seat cushions in the rear. 3. Ride quality is better than Seltos which makes it a better family SUV than a handler. 4. Hyundai’s service network and the predictable maintenance costs makes it an easier pick among the lot. 5. Diesel top end is pretty VFM than Kia Seltos’s top end diesel manual. Reasoons why you should re-think before purchasing Creta 2020 : 1. Design is not for everyone’s liking. 2. Higher variant alloys are pretty dumb in design except top end diesel and IVT. 3. Creta also misses out on some key features that are offered in Seltos like 360° cameras, front parking sensors and all. Verdict : ,On an overall, its the Creta that offers more value and features for what you pay in the diesel variants and I highly recommend Creta 2020 over the other two. Thank you for reading till the end and hope you find this more informative and useful in making a good decision among the trio.
I would like to give complete review on New Creta, The All New Creta is beautifully crafted with Newly designed Bumpers, Signature Cascading Grille, Trio Beam LED Headlamps with crescent glow LED DRL's Twin Tip Exhaust on Turbo Variant makes the car more dynamic and Unique in the Segment. New Diamond Cut Alloys gives outstanding look compared to its rivals. Features which has been loaded in New Creta makes the car to stand apart eventhough it is little old in this market. ENGINE New Creta has been equipped with Three types of Engines, 1.5 l MPI Petrol Engine - Power 115 Ps @ 6300 rpm - Torque 145 Nm @ 4500 rpm 1.5 l U2 CRDI Diesel Engine - Power 115 Ps @ 4000 rpm - Torque 250 Nm @ 1500 - 2750 rpm 1.4 l Kappa Turbo Petrol Engine - Power 140 Ps @ 6000 rpm - Torque 242 Nm @1500-3200 rpm TECHNOLOGY The All New Creta is equipped with Advanced Blue Link featuring the new in car voice command technology. Now with the app on Smart Watch and Smartphone enables the control over the car, like Remote Engine Start and Stop, Remote Air Purifier On, Stolen vehicle tracking, Monthly health report, Connected Car features, Voice Operated Open/Close Sunroof. New Creta offers Ultimate Sound Experience it has been installed with Bose 8 Speakers where the Sound Experience is extremely Good compared to its rivals. SAFETY All New Creta has a strong body structure, loaded with safety features like Electronic Stability Control, Vehicle Stability Management, Rear Disc Brakes, Hill Start Assist Control, and also with Rear Parking Sensors with Camera. INTERIOR New Creta interiors are Newly Designed Seats, which offers Rear Seat Headrest Cushion, Front Row Ventilated Seats, Smoothing Blue Ambient Lighting, Electric Parking Brake with Auto Hold, Auto Healthy Air Purifier, and Seat Upholstery is Dual Tone.
Both are better but the question is which one to put your money on and if you are adequate then Creta 1.5 IVT SX(O) would get the job done while if you have money, then kia Seltos GTX+ 7-DCT would be good but my suggestion would be is to go for Creta as it has many good features like AutoHold, electronic parking brake, panoramic sunroof and also rear camera feed and all. The Reason why I’m not stressing much about Kia Seltos is deslite having those many features, if your drive is highly outskirts means Seltos would be great but with its 360° parking camera and as you mentioned bumper to bumper traffic and all, if the mirrors get damaged then you’ll have to pay high amount of money as they’re attached with cameras surround and also its a bit pricier than Creta. So, Creta would be good in my opinion.
Undoubtedly, Nexon XZ+. Except being sub 4m CSUV, thus bit smaller in dimension, Nexon XZ+ has all features while Creta E is a trimmed down version lacking important safety and feel good features. Here's is a list of features you get in Nexon which aren't available in Creta E : Traction control, Roll over mitigation, Reverse parking camera, Adjustable rear seat headrests, Rear seat armrest, Infotainment system with Harman 8 speaker system which is best in class, Android auto and Apple car play, Electronically foldable ORVMs, Rear parcel tray, 5 star GNCAP safety rating, 16 inch Alloy wheels with R16 tyres of 215/60 size, Cooled glovebox, LED DRLs, Cornering fog lamps Class leading ground clearance of 209mm… The space inside is decent enough, seats are comfy and the rear seats are wide enough to seat 3 persons. I feel Nexon XZ+ is more value for money than Creta E variant.
Hyundai Creta 2020 EX, model is the best value for money option in my view when it comes to choose between EX and S model as it gets all the necessary feature and some cool features to boast off. Here are some of the special features of S Model Petrol/Diesel Smart Connectivity with apple car play and android auto, reverse parking camera along with voice command feature 8 way manually adjusted driver seat and 6 way manually adjusted passenger seats Tyre Pressure monitoring system Apart from automatic climate control and body colored ORVM most of the features are common in EX and S model so why spend more then a lakh on a model which is not that necessary to be honest. But if you ask me which model is the best one to buy i would say it has to be ,Creata SX ,yes this model is the best of both worlds in terms of features and price. It has all the bells and whistle that you want in a premium SUV car after all if you are spending around 14–16 Lakh then why not choose the best once and for all this way you will never regret in future that you have had the option of choosing a better model at the time but you bought EX or S model if money is really your concern then you should choose the base variant of the car as it makes sense. Because it does not make any sense in going for the S model when you can get the best creta model at 15.70 Lakh on road Delhi price.
Go for Hyundai Creta (EX). Creta is a segment above Breeza since Breeza is a Sub 4 metre SUV whereas Creta is a mid size SUV over 4 metre. Creta build quality is better than Vitara Breeza. You could miss out few features like Reverse parking camera, alloy wheels, push button start etc. Creta 2020 comes with fresh looks which turns head on road, Breeza has been there for some time now. Although looks are subjective that may vary from person to person. I thing to mention, you may find Creta's 1.5Ltr naturally aspirated to be underpowered when compared with 1.5ltr Maruti's Vitara Breeza b'coz Creta is a heavier car than Maruti. What I would suggest is you go and take test drive of both the cars same day and then decide which to opt for. Hope it helps you to decide!! If you have any doubt do comment down below. Enjoy Reading!!
So first of all let’s list down all the options that are available in the 20lakhs bracket HYUNDAI CRETA(starts from 11,38,000) KIA SELTOS(starts from 11,13,000) MG HECTOR(starts from 14,97,000) JEEP COMPASS(starts from 19,12,000) XUV 500(starts from 16,34,000) MAHINDRA SCORPIO(starts from 12,73,457) TATA HARRIER(starts from 16,42,,000) Note: All prices mentioned are on road price ,LUCKNOW ,(UP has one of the highest standard RTO charges(same for both diesel and petrol) .And cities like DELHI have different charges for diesel and petrol and then the model of vehicles for different fuel types are colliding thus I chose a state which has equal charges for both diesel and petrol and I selected Lucknow as it is the state capital) all prices are dated ,26JAN 2020. ,It is also more helpful in doing comparative analysis. Out of all the above listed options , CRETA & SELTOS are not an ,SUV. ,MG HECTOR looks like a compressed MPV So now we are left with 4 options - ,JEEP COMPASS , TATA HARRIER , MAHINDRA SCORPIO , MAHINDRA XUV 500 Out of the left 4 SCORPIO & XUV500 have became old and feels outdated Now after all the selection and elimination ,we are left with 2options ,namely ,TATA HARRIER & JEEP COMPASS Out of the left 2 options ,JEEP COMPASS is ,overpriced (,I know that this is an unpopular opinion) and in that 20L budget the buyer will only get the BASE model i.e SPORT PLUS 1.4 PETROL ,and I don’t think that a person who’ll shell out 20L will like to buy a petrol SUV. So, now after all the elimination let me simply state the reason why one should buy ,HARRIER The D8 platform which has been derived from the JLR group. Harrier may not have an AWD drivetrain option right now but Tata has made sure that this does not hold the SUV back. The Electronic Stability Program (ESP) on the Harrier comes with a number of safety aids and traction modes. To be precise, the ESP on the Harrier has a total of 11 functions, ranging from hill descent control and hill hold to off-road ABS, cornering stability control and brake disc wiping. This is something that the competition like the Jeep compass and Mahindra XUV500 do not even come remotely close to. Multiple Driving modes like ,ECO,SPORT &CITY . ,These modes allow the driver to choose and derive the best out of the available options as per his/her needs. Unique ,funky and attractive design of the handbrake . Not gonna lie, this handbrake looks like that of an aircraft! Amazing 9-speaker JBL audio system. ,Tata has equipped the Harrier with a powerful 320W 9 speaker system developed by JBL specifically for the SUV. The floating touchscreen infotainment system on the Harrier is a 8.8 inch unit which comes with Apple Car Play/ Android Auto connectivity along with rear parking camera display. The unit has been supplied by Visteon, the company which also supplies infotainment system to premium brands like Land Rover. One of the most wide and huge sunroof in segment. ,The sunroof also has features like rain-sensing ,anti pinch sunroof and the sunroof can also be closed with the lock button on the vehicle key. Most powerful Engine under 20 lakhs . ,The 2L Kryotec engine produces 168Bhp and a torque of 350Nm. Safety of TATA . ,Even smaller cars of TATA like NEXON & ALTROZ have scored 5stars in the Global NCAP crash test . So based on TATA’s recent history it will not be wrong if I or anyone else say that HARRIER will be rated ,5stars ,in it’s crash test . (Though there has been no official crash test and it is just a ,speculation, ). Extreme road presence! ,This car has humongous amount of road presence! Well engineered and beautifully designed headlamps as well as the taillamps. ,The sleek headlamps and taillamps look ,DOPE,! Luxurious and modern looking dashboard. ,PLUSH interiors! The feel good factor . ,You’ll always praise yourself for your choice when you will sit inside this beast. 2.4 A Fast charging points. ,Mobile charging ports are a regular feature in cars nowadays so that’s not a unique feature. However, Tata has fitted the harrier with fast charging USB ports to charge your phone quickly. The 2.4 A fast charging port are available for both the front and rear passengers and are quite handy, especially now when our phones are constantly running out of juice. (Note that your smartphone should be fast charge enabled to utilize the full potential of these 2.4 A ports.) Well proportioned design! “,Creta’s rear looks good but it’s front looks kind of awkward”,”Seltos’ front looks amazing but it’s rear looks blant”,”Hector’s design doesn’t seem to be balanced and at times it feels like it has been overdone” but that’s not the case with the ,HARRIER. NOTE: All the opinions mentioned in the answer are ,personal,. Thanks for the request ,Vigneshwarraj Chandrasekaran,. Hope that I have been able to answer the question upto your expectations! **JAI HIND🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳❤️❤️❤️*
Let’s look at the 2020 Hyundai Creta [,Image,] This is the price list (Ex-Showroom Delhi) of petrol variants. The car is offered in five variants namely E, EX, S ,SX, SX(O) If you take a look at few features on offer across various variants - Rear disc brakes are provided only with last two trims SX and SX(O). Rest only get front disc brakes 6 Airbags are only provided in top variant SX(O). Rest all come with 2 airbags. Electronic stability control is provided only with last two variants. First two variants don’t get fog lamps and rear defogger. By now you may have got a fair idea about what I am talking about. Companies tends to provide better safety features in top variants only. A person interested in manual SX variant will spend close to ₹15 lakhs on road but still won’t get 6 airbags. Not only Hyundai but this is a standard practice all over the Indian automotive industry. In my opinion, company should provide basic necessary features like all disc brakes, 4–6 airbags, fog lamps in all variants or atleast from second variant till top. Features like 55 inch infotainment systems, rain sensing wipers, fart sensing a/c are more or less gimmicks only. They just add convenience factor and aren’t necessary useful features to drive the car. People should also demand for such things from the companies. Six air bags and all disc brakes are any day more useful than a sunroof. I simply don’t understand the people’s obsession with sunroof. Companies are also cashing in on this sunroof trend and have started providing them at mid variants as well. For the price of a sunroof, you can ask the companies to give front parking sensors, impact sensors and lane change cameras which is thousand times more useful than a sunroof. People should also demand for right things instead of gimmicks.
Kia motors and MG both new brands in Indian Automotive market , now after looking at the success , i had only one question why MG is behind in sales whereas Kia has a rocket launching sales? Why MG created that hype like they want to dominate Indian Automotive market?? Now let's look at Kia's advantages ... 1. ,Hyundai as a parent company, : If you don't know Kia motor's parent company is Hyundai Motors , so that's the biggest factor that people trust this company more than MG because they know how good hyundai cars are , Hyundai's cars are well built, sleek, great aftersales service , reliable so people who knew hyundai and Kia's relation chose Kia over MG... 2. ,Build quality, : Kia seltos achieved 5 star in ANCAP ( Australian NCAP ) , and they hadn't done Global NCAP crash test yet but you can expect atleast 3 star... ( but you've to remember that in crash test they use cars with fully equipped safety features like airbags , ABS , EBD etc. Also Australian seltos is may be 250 kg heavier than indian Seltos because of the bigger engine , safety features , all wheel drive etc...) 3. ,Mileage, : here Kia beats all competitor's cars like hyundai creta, MG hector , Tata Harrier , Jeep compass. Kia knew how much indian loves mileage word "kitna deti hai" so they focused on that and gave us the car with best in segment mileage... 4. ,Transmission for everyone(lots of options), : Kia Seltos offers three engine options including 1.4-litre and 1.5-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine... The 1.4-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine produces 138 BHP and 242 Nm . It comes with a 6-speed manual and 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. This engine can do 0-100 km/h in 9.7 seconds and the claimed fuel economies are 16.1 km/l and 16.5 km/l for the 6-speed manual and 7-speed DCT variants respectively. The 1.5-litre, naturally aspirated petrol engine produces 113 BHP and 144 Nm. It is available in a 6-speed manual and CVT. The claimed fuel economy figures for both manual and CVT versions are 16.5 km/l and 16.8 km/l respectively. This engine can do 0-100 km/h in 11.8 seconds. Finally, the 1.5-litre diesel unit makes 113 BHP and 250 Nm. It can do 0-100 km/h in 11.5 seconds. Transmission options offered with this engine include a 6-speed manual and an optional 6-speed torque converter automatic. Fuel efficiency of both versions is claimed to be 21 km/l and 18 km/l respectively... 5. ,Loaded features, : Kia seltos comes with lots of loaded features like - Automatic day night IRVM (inside rear view mirror)...MG Hector has manual IRVM - Front and rear parking sensor - 360⁰ parking camera - Ambient lighting - Tire pressure monitoring system - UVO connected car technology - Smart Air purifier - Telescopic steering wheel - Traction control - Auto headlamps and wipers - 8 inch Head up display (only in kia) - Blind spot monitoring system (only in kia) 6. ,Price, : I think Kia seltos provides features which are value for money , Kia seltos price is not that high compared to what they are providing , it's my perspective yours may differ... Now back to the question why customers are trusting this new company because Kia has hyundai as a backbone and hyundai cars all well known for their quality compared to Maruti suzuki cars and Kia has long plans for indian markets they want to dominate indian market just like hyundai. So they are planning to launch more cars in 2020 , i think they learned from Jeep's mistake (Jeep launched only Compass and nothing else)... They are also trying to make as many service stations as possible to build their network and to provide great customer service... So these are some factors which puts Kia one place ahead to other newcomer car brands... ,Enjoy,😉
