The first-ever BMW XM is officially launched in Thailand, priced at THB 14,899,000 (around RM 1.89m). The front of the BMW XM is defined by its split headlights, an illuminated ‘Iconic Glow’ kidney grille, and continuous contour lighting. The 23-inch M light-alloy wheels in star spoke come as standard. Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has launched the Mercedes-Benz GLE 450 4Matic Coupe, priced at RM 661,009 (OTR without insurance, with SST incentive). BMW announced last year they will be discontinuing their hybrid supercar, the BMW i8. To celebrate the occassion, 1 unit is to be painted in the exclusive Portimao Blue. Power comes from a 1.5-litre turbocharged three-cylinder that does 231 PS and 320 Nm, hooked up to an electric motor that does 131 PS and 250 Nm. Combined system output is 362 PS and 570 Nm. Volvo Cars and Geely announced that they have plans to create a standalone business focused on developing the next generation combustion engines and hybrid powertrains. The new arrangement is to allow Volvo Cars to focus on developing electric drivetrains. Volvo has high hopes that by 2025, 50% of the brand’s sales volume will be fully electric. This latest development comes in line with Volvo Cars’ ambitions to include a hybrid and full-electric powertrain for all their models. For Geely, the p
