The problem we have with the new 2020 Perodua Bezza

With A.S.A 2.0 made available on the top spec and VSC now standard for the Premium X, the new facelifted Perodua Bezza sounds like it has received the smartest updates. But one thing that Perodua didn’t see fit to bring to the board is an adjustable steering wheel.

Yes, the Perodua Bezza still continues on in this cycle without a tilt adjustable steering wheel. It’s not a strange concept as Perodua’s A-segment representatives, like the Axia, Viva, and Kancil that came before the current crop, has never featured adjustable steering wheels.

googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1685525140735-0'); });

But at the grand price of RM 34,580 for its lowest variant (1.0 G), the new Bezza is not cheap. And as you go through the variant ladder, the price only climbs to a cool RM 49,980.

At that price for the top-of-the-range 1.3 AV AT, its only rival, the top spec Proton Saga Premium, the Bezza is RM 10,180 more expensive. And even the Proton Saga comes with an adjustable steering wheel across its variant range.

Comes with tilt adjustable steering for all variants

The Bezza’s non adjustable steering wheel cannot be remedied by aftermarket parts and that could proof an inconvenience for shorter or even taller than average person for the Bezza's seats.

Let’s hope that Perodua sees fit to quickly update the Bezza hopefully with a tilt adjustable steering wheel next!

The untimely death of the magazine meant a hiatus from cars at lifestyle women’s magazine Marie Claire before another opportunity came knocking again.
