The new 2022 Perodua Myvi facelift was launched on 18 November 2021 and as of 2 December, Perodua has received 14,600 bookings for the updated hatchback.

Of the 14,600 orders, 7,189 were converted from the pre-facelift Myvi. Between January to November 2021, Perodua registered 42,288 units of the Myvi.

The range-topping 1.5 AV variant makes up the bulk of the orders with Granite Grey being the most popular colour choice (31% of bookings) followed by Cranberry Red (21%). 

The slower registration is due to the supply issue in the automotive sector (rising Covid-19 cases & semiconductor chip shortage) as well as the transitionary gap between the pre-and facelift models.

“We wish to apologise for the delay in delivery and thank all our customers for their support and patience, especially in the most challenging year so far,” Dato’ Zainal said.

“We are working with the automotive ecosystem to overcome these issues, such as rising Covid-19 cases as well as the semiconductor chip supply shortage, and with these countermeasures in place, we see December 2021 as our best month yet,” added Dato’ Zainal.
