The second-generation Subaru BRZ was unveiled in late-2020. It continued the tradition of a front-engine, rear-wheel drive sports car with relatively low weight and low centre of gravity.

In mid-2022, the all-new Subaru BRZ quietly arrived in Malaysia with prices starting from RM 249,245 for the 6-speed manual to RM 259,245 for the 6-speed automatic.

The 6-speed automatic variant gets Subaru’s EyeSight ADAS system along with Reverse Automatic Braking.

Standard equipment for both variants of the Subaru BRZ include 18-inch wheels, Torsen Limited Slip Differential, and 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay/Android Auto.

Power comes from a 2.4-litre boxer engine that makes 237 PS/250 Nm, mated to the aforementioned 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission, going exclusively to the rear wheels (RWD).

0-100 km/h acceleration time is rated at 6.3 seconds for the manual and 6.8 seconds for the automatic.

We were told that total bookings for the Subaru BRZ currently stands at around 80 units, 10 of which were from Motion Beyond. This unit that you see here has already been spoken for but if you’re keen on one, they would be more than happy to slot you in.
