Sime Darby Auto Connexion (SDAC) today launched the updated 2020 Ford Ranger Raptor. The Raptor now features more safety tech and new convenience updates for RM 9,088 more than the pre-update at RM 208,888.

The Ranger Raptor’s ADAS now gets Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) with Vehicle and Pedestrian to help prevent potential rear-end collisions and road traffic collisions with both vehicles and pedestrians. The system is similar to the Ranger Wildtrak. 

There is also Forward Collision Warning, that will warn drivers of a potential collision, and Lane Departure Warning and Assist (LDW) that will send vibrations to the steering wheel to alert drivers of objects around the car when attempting to change lanes.

Also part of the Lane Departure Warning system is Lane Keep Aid. The system will steer the truck back into the lane if drivers do not react when straying out of line.

Other minor updates include the addition of a new USB charging port on the rear-view mirror and new LED projector headlights.

Underneath the bonnet, the Ranger Raptor is still powered by a 2.0-litre Bi-Turbo diesel engine that dispenses 213 PS and 500 Nm mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission.
