Bermaz Motor, the official distributor of Mazda vehicles in Malaysia is now accepting orders for the updated 2019 Mazda CX-5 and that includes the highly anticipated 2.5L Turbo variant.

This is not a facelift exercise but rather a running change. With that, Bermaz Motor is also introducing a new 2.5L Turbo AWD variant which replaces the 2.2D GLS AWD as the range-topping model.

The MY19 CX-5 line up now consists of:

• 2.0L GL 2WD (162 PS/210 Nm)
• 2.0L GLS 2WD (162 PS/210 Nm)
• 2.5L GLS 2WD (192 PS/257 Nm)
• 2.2D GLS 2WD (173 PS/420 Nm)
• 2.5L Turbo AWD (230 PS/420 Nm)

All variants are paired to a 6-speed automatic.

For MY19 models, all variants now come with Apple Car Play and Android Auto connectivity for their 7.0-inch MZD touchscreen infotainment system. Also new is a 7.0-inch TFT multi-info display for the instrument cluster on 2.5L GLS variant and above. Exclusive to the range-topping 2.5L Turbo variant is a colour windshield-projected heads-up display.

Lastly, all variants of the MY19 CX-5 are updated with the G-Vectoring Control Plus (GVC Plus) feature which makes steering response more precise and consistent by using small changes in the engine torque to shift weight to the front tires whenever the driver turns the wheel.

GVC Plus improves steering response as the driver straightens the wheel, by adding a hint of braking to the outer wheels.

Bermaz Motor will be showcasing the updated CX-5 at Bangsar Shopping Centre from September 11 to September 15, 2019. Official pricing will be announced at a later date, but as a reference, the outgoing CX-5 range is priced between RM 133k to RM 175k.
