Volvo Malaysia has quietly updated the Volvo XC60 T8 with a larger capacity battery at 11.6 kWh, compared to 10.4 kWh previously, and a newly designed Orrefors crystal gear knob. Apart from those, both the T5 and T8 variants gain a net pocket on the transmission tunnel for the passenger side.

The exterior colour lineup has also been revised. Gone are the Maple Brown and Luminous Sand colours, replacing them are Osmium Grey and Bright Silver. Specifications wise, it remains unchanged from before, with Volvo’s Intellisafe standard across all trim levels.

To recap, the XC60 T5 is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that makes 254 PS/350 Nm, the T8 variants get a 2.0-litre turbocharged and supercharged 4-cylinder engine that is supplemented by an electric motor to produce a combined output of 407 PS/640 Nm.

Both engines are paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission that drives the front wheels. However, in the T8 plug-in hybrid variants, the electric motor drives the rear wheels, making it an all-wheel drive model.

Prices for the Volvo XC60 remains unchanged from before, with the T5 starting at RM 299,888, T8 Inscription at RM 333,888 and T8 Inscription Plus at RM 343,888.
