Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has quietly revised the specifications of the Mercedes-Benz C300 AMG Line. Specifically, the Airmatic Suspension has been replaced by Sports Suspension, like the one in the C200 AMG Line.
Airmatic Suspension is Mercedes-Benz’s term for their air suspension. Compared to traditional strut suspension, there are no coil springs or shock absorbers on air suspension systems. Instead, it uses bags made of rubber and polyurethane filled with air.
Drivers can choose from Comfort, Sport, Sport+, Eco and Individual via the Agility Select switch. These modes will affect the suspension firmness, softer for a comfortable ride, or a stiffer and more sporty drive.
Without the Airmatic Suspension, the driving modes will not alter the damping characteristics since the Sports Suspension is a passive setup.
To recap, the Mercedes-Benz C300 AMG Line is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that makes 258 PS/370 Nm, transmitted to the rear wheels via a 9-speed automatic transmission.
Price of the revised specifications 2020 Mercedes-Benz C300 AMG Line is RM 291,800, which is RM 2,000 less than before.
