Volvo Car Thailand has just launched the all-new third-generation S60 in the Kingdom, with the model imported from Malaysia.

Yes, this marks the start of the S60’s local assembly in Malaysia, and sales here in Malaysia is expected to commence soon.

For the Thai market, the all-new S60 is available in a lone T8 Twin Engine option, which gets a 2.0-litre petrol-electric plug-in hybrid powertrain, capable of delivering a combined system output of 407 PS and whopping 640 Nm.

All these Swedish ponies are then routed to all 4 wheels via an 8-speed Aisin-sourced automatic transmission.

Thai buyers can choose between the regular Momentum trim (THB 2.19 million) or sportier R-Design trim (THB 2.59 million).

The extra THB 400,000 adds:

• LED active bending headlights
• Heads-up display
• Park Assist Pilot
• Park Assist Sensor, front and rear
• Power-adjustable front seats (driver and passenger)
• Powered tailgate with handsfree unlocking
• Sensus navigation
• Android Auto and Apple CarPlay
• 600W, 14-speaker Harman Kardon audio system

Colour options mirror the Malaysian-market S60, which includes Onyx Black, Crystal White, Pebble Grey, and the hero colour – Fusion Red. The latter is exclusive to the S60 R-Design.
