BMW Thailand has launched the locally-assembled (CKD) 2021 BMW X7. It’s offered in one variant – the xDrive30d M Sport, priced at 5,999,000 baht (around RM 810k). Previously, the BMW X7 was imported from USA.

The Thai-CKD BMW X7 xDrive30d features a 3.0-litre twin-turbo inline-6 diesel engine that generates 265 PS and 620 Nm of torque, mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Power goes to all four wheels using the BMW xDrive all-wheel drive system.

On the outside, there’s the massive grille flanked by a pair of headlamps with BMW Laserlight technology. It wears the M Sport outfit with 22-inch wheels.

The BMW X7 is equipped with Adaptive 2-axle Air Suspension, Integral Active Steering (rear-wheel steering, and soft-close function for doors.

Inside, the seats are upholstered in supple Merino Leather. There’s a combination of wood and metal trims, plus interior elements in ‘CraftedClarity’ glass to elevate the cabin ambiance. Also lifting cabin mood are the panoramic roof and ambient lighting.

Being a 7-seater, it’s equipped with five-zone automatic air-conditioning and Rear Seat Entertainment Professional with two screens for rear passengers.

With the third-row seats up, boot space is rated at 300 litres, which can be expanded up to 2,120 litres with the second-row seats folded.

As for advanced-driver assistance systems (ADAS), the BMW X7 gets Driving Assistant that bundles AEB and LDW, Parking Assistant Plus, Active Cruise Control with Stop & Go Function.
