It’s finally here – after months of waiting, Honda Malaysia has finally revealed prices of the 2021 Honda City RS e:HEV hybrid variant. It is priced at RM 105,950.45.

Powering the 2021 Honda City RS is Honda’s two-motor i-MMD (Intelligent Multi-Mode Drive) full-hybrid powertrain, encompassing a 1.5-litre Atkinson cycle petrol engine (98 PS, 127 Nm) and an electric traction motor (109 PS, 253 Nm).
The rest of the City line-up in Malaysia gets a new naturally-aspirated 1.5-litre DOHC petrol engine that does 121 PS and 145 Nm, hooked up to a CVT-type automatic transmission.
As the name implies, the City RS gets all the RS goodies, including:
RS-specific black front lip
RS-specific front fog light surrounds
gloss black front grille with RS logo
gloss black side mirror caps
16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels
RS boot lid spoiler
Rear diffuser
Rear disc brakes
Inside, this variant gets a RS-specific 7-inch digital instrument cluster, electric parking brake (EPB), and sport pedals. Infotainment duties are taken care of by an 8-inch touchscreen system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay capabilities, channeling audio to an 8-speaker set-up.
This model also marks the debut of the Honda Connect vehicle telematic technology in Malaysia.
The addition of the battery pack in the boot also means that boot space volume has been reduced to 409 litres, down 110 litres from the regular petrol variants.
Does the model get more safety equipment?
Wider angle monocular camera
Seeing that the Honda City RS is the range-topping variant, it gets all the bells and whistles, including the trick Honda Sensing ADAS suite, with features such as:
Forward Collision Warning (FCW)
Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS)
Lane Departure Warning (LDW)
Lane Keep Assist System (LKAS)
Road Departure Mitigation (RDM)
Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)
Auto High Beam (AHB)
It also gets Honda LaneWatch
The City RS' ACC is only operable from 30 km/h, while the higher range Civic, CR-V, and Accord's ACC with LSF is able to bring the car to a complete stop. The system does not work in stop-go traffic situations. Below 30 km/h, the ACC will turn off and the driver will need to take over the driving.
This variant is only available in three colours, namely: Passion Red Pearl, Platinum White Pearl, and Modern Steel Metallic.
As with any other Honda model, it gets a 5-year, unlimited mileage warranty, as well as free labour service up to five times within 100,000 km or 5 years. Unique to the RS variant is the 8-year hybrid battery warranty with unlimited mileage.
