After several spyshots, including from Brunei, Proton has confirmed the imminent arrival of the 2021 Proton X70 SE during an online media event this morning. 

Limited to 2,000 units, the Proton X70 SE will be available in two colours, namely Ocean Blue and Ruby Red.

Seeing that both variants are based on the Premium variant, a sunroof is not available. Instead, the X70 SE will get 19-inch alloy wheels lifted off the not-sold-in-Malaysia Geely Boyue Pro, black side mirrors, and a black roof. An SE emblem completes the exterior of this new X70 variant.

Inside, this limited-edition Proton X70 gets black Nappa leather seats and black interior trim pieces, as well as SE-branded carpet mats. The current Premium and Premium X variants of the X70 get brown Nappa leather seats.

Elsewhere, the rest of the Proton X70 SE remains the same as before, including a turbocharged 1.8-litre petrol engine hooked up to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic.
