Hot off the launch of the 2021 Volvo S90, Volvo Malaysia rolls out yet another update, this time on the 2021 Volvo XC60. The SUV is now priced from at RM 278,195 for the T5 variant while the T8 is now priced at RM 324,656. That’s more than RM 1,000 less than the price before!
The prices stated are on-the-road without insurance and SST exempted. These prices are valid until 30th June 2021. Once the SST exemption on locally assembled cars ends, the Volvo XC60 will be priced at RM 298,888 for the T5 while the T8 will be priced at RM 343,888.

And yes, there are only 2 variants available now: the Volvo XC60 T5 AWD Momentum and the Volvo XC60 Recharge T8 Inscription Plus. Volvo has dropped the mid-spec T8 Inscription.
If you’re looking for any cosmetic changes, it's very minor and you will have to be savvy to find it as this update exercise is reserved to refinement. The only exterior visual change is the T5 Momentum’s new wheels which are now 2-tone 5-spoke alloys. The size remains the same at 18-inch.

Other than that, there is now a new brown Linear Lime wood inlay for the interior. The new option will be available alongside the existing Iron Ore aluminium in the Momentum and Driftwood in the Inscription Plus.
Volvo has also added a new rear USB Type-C charging port for rear passengers to charge their phones.
One last change is the T8’s new ‘Recharge’ branding. The new XC60 will follow in the footsteps of the Volvo XC40 and drop the ‘Twin Engine’ moniker.
This is because the XC60 T8 has now joined Volvo’s new overarching sub-brand that encompasses all its electric vehicles (EV) and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) models.
