Bermaz Motor, the distributor of Mazda vehicles in Malaysia, has announced the updated 2022 Mazda CX-30. As reported previously, the model remains fully-imported (CBU from Japan) and prices have gone up by around RM 1k across the range.

Two new “Ignite Edition” variants – 2WD and AWD – have been added to the line-up, and is now the range-topper for the Mazda CX-30. Specifications of the variants below the “Ignite Edition” are as before, though the two new variants get a few new goodies.
For starters, the side mirrors and 18-inch wheels are finished in black. The interior of the “Ignite Edition” features Burgundy themed coloured seats and black interior trim, as well as the 360-degree view monitor that provides an all-round view around the vehicle.
For the "Ignite Edition" variants, the Mazda i-Activsense suite of ADAS gets a boost as well, now with Front Cross Traffic Alert (FCTA), Driver Attention Alert (DAA) with Driver Monitoring, and Cruising & Traffic Support (CTS).
As before, the 2022 Mazda CX-30 comes with two engine choices; a 2.0-litre naturally-aspirated 4-cylinder petrol engine with 164 PS/213 Nm, and a 1.8-litre 4-cylinder turbodiesel engine with 116 PS/270 Nm. Both engines are mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission.
There are 7 colour choices available for the 2022 Mazda CX-30 - Soul Red Crystal, Machine Gray, Snowflake White Pearl, Jet Black, Deep Crystal Blue, Polymetal Gray, and Platinum Quartz. The new Platinum Quartz colour replaces the Sonic Silver that was available previously.
The 2022 Mazda CX-30 comes with a 5-year manufacturer warranty with 5-year free maintenance according to manufacturer’s standards inclusive of labour, parts and lubricants. Both manufacturer warranty and free maintenance have a coverage of period of five years and a mileage limit of 100,000 km, whichever comes first.
