UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) has announced the launch date of the 2022 Toyota Camry facelift in Malaysia, and it's slated to take place on 17-February 2022.

Registration of interest for the model is now open too. The Honda Accord competitor's exact specifications are still under wraps, but at least one important detail is clear: under the hood sits the much vaunted 2.5-litre Dynamic Force engine (209 PS / 250 Nm) and 8-speed automatic transmission powertrain.

Still naturally-aspirated (NA), this set up phases out the 2.5-litre 2AR-FE petrol mill (185 PS / 235 Nm) and 6-speed automatic transmission combination in the pre-facelift Camry currently sold here.

Prices for the sedan are still a secret, but checks with dealers say that a price bump is inevitable. For reference, the sole pre-facelift Camry 2.5 V is currently priced from RM 188,763.

Coming fully-imported (CBU Thailand), expect changes to include a further refined interior and updates to the Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 (TSS 2.0) ADAS suite. More, of course, will be revealed come launch day.
