A favourite in Asia, the second-generation Lexus LM will soon be making its debut at the 2023 Shanghai Auto Show, the same location the outgoing generation LM made its global debut in 2019.
To further separate the Lexus LM from the regular Toyota Alphard, the Lexus minivan will be making its debut ahead of the new generation 2023 Toyota Alphard. The latter is expected to make its debut in Japan sometime in the middle of this year.
In the outgoing generation Lexus LM, the most obvious visual cue separating a legit Lexus LM from an Alphard wearing a cheap conversion kit is the chrome blade on the B-pillar.

For this second generation model, it appears that the unique chrome blade has been moved / extended to the D-pillar.

The sole teaser image released by Lexus also show a ‘floating roof’ styling, with a rear three-quarter window that wraps around the D-pillar.
