Not too long ago, we were just on the topic of road conditions in Malaysia and what is the cause of bad roads. Over the weekend, Science, Technology, and Innovation Minister Khairy Jamaluddin brought the topic back to light on his personal Twitter account after he sustained injuries when his bicycle hit a pothole during his ride.
Khairy, or better known as KJ, posted that he had suffered injuries during his bicycle ride after hitting a pothole and landing in a ditch. He accompanied the post with pictures of the pothole in question and the bruises on his face.

According to Bernama, the incident happened in Jalan Kampung Sri Cheeding, Banting, Selangor on Sunday (Dec 27).
Since then, his press secretary Raja Syahrir Raja Abu Bakar has ensured everyone that KJ suffered light injuries and thanked everyone for reaching out to the Minister with well wishes.
On the same day of the incident, the Ministry of Works (JKR) also issued a public apology to KJ on their official Twitter account. They also stated that they will be taking swift action to rectify the issue and wished KJ a speedy recovery.
Always keep an eye out of the road conditions around you, even if the road you’re traversing is a familiar one. With the unpredictable weather, you never know when a new pothole will turn up and cause damage to your beloved cars!
There isnโt a time in memory that doesnโt involve staring at cars. After discovering the excitement of watching Schumacher vs Hakkinen, Formula 1 became a major part of life. The love for cars and F1 ultimately led to a job with CAR Magazine. The untimely death of the magazine meant a hiatus from cars at lifestyle womenโs magazine Marie Claire before another opportunity came knocking again.
