Will Proton still use the Iriz Active name for new Iriz crossover? 01

In case you missed it, Proton is set to debut a crossover version of the Proton Iriz when the next update rolls around. Evidence that Proton has filed a trademark for the Iriz Active logo on the Malaysian Intellectual Properly Office (MyIPO) has now surfaced online so does this mean the name is confirmed?

We can only say likely, as the trademark filing is not new. Proton filed the trademark for the logo back when the Iriz Active concept was introduced in 2014 to gauge how Malaysians would react to an Iriz with a taller ride height.

We won’t be left guessing for long as our friends over at Funtastiko reports that Proton has plans to launch the new Proton Persona and Proton Iriz by late February or early March. But the MCO might delay the launch until April.

There isn’t a time in memory that doesn’t involve staring at cars. After discovering the excitement of watching Schumacher vs Hakkinen, Formula 1 became a major part of life. The love for cars and F1 ultimately led to a job with CAR Magazine. The untimely death of the magazine meant a hiatus from cars at lifestyle women’s magazine Marie Claire before another opportunity came knocking again.
