The government has decided to extend the reinstated Movement Control Order (MCO) in the entire country except for Sarawak to 18 February 2021. The decision was made following the record-high number of new cases in the country.
In the daily briefing by Senior (Security) Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, the government will also be looking to tighten the standard operating procedures (SOP) during the extension. So, expect another new set of SOPs to be released in the following few days.
Meanwhile, Ismail Sabri has also announced that the Health and National Unity ministries are working on drawing up a set of SOPs specifically for the upcoming Chinese New Year.
