Xiaomi releases Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team scooter; Lewis’ new pitlane ride

We’ve found Lewis Hamilton’s new pitlane ride in the form of this special edition Mi Electric Scooter Pro 2 made in partnership between Xiaomi and the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 team. The scooter will feature the Mercedes team’s black and silver colour scheme paired with the signature petroleum green accent.

Basically, that’s about the differences between the special edition Mercedes-AMG Petronas scooter and the standard Mi Electric Scooter Pro 2.

And for that difference you will have to fork out a cool EUR 799 (about RM 3,933), that’s EUR 300 (RM 1,470) more than the standard scooter that retails at EUR 499 (about RM 2,456).

The scooter uses a lithium-ion battery with a rated capacity of 12,400 mAh. Xiaomi claims that it takes 8-9 hours to fully charge the scooter and it has a range of 45 km.

The brushless DC motor (300W rated, 600W max) has the ability to hit a top speed of 25 km/h and it can tackle 20 percent incline slopes.

For the less scooter savvy person, don’t be surprised to know that the Mi Scooter comes with regenerative anti-lock brake (eABS) as a safety feature. Another safety feature includes reflectors on the front, rear, and sides for better visibility at night.
