February has proven to be a productive month for Proton, as the company managed to deliver 11,873 units, capturing an estimated market share of 27.1%. It marks the highest market share for Proton since September 2013.
Overall, Proton’s sales in February nearly doubled January 2021’s total of 5,964 units. Compared to the same month last year, volume has grown by 19.9%, though the cumulative for the first two months of 2021 is still 643 units (-3.5%) than 2020.

Since its launch in October 2020, the Proton X50 has been a hit among Malaysians. The company delivered 3,345 units in February alone, bringing the total number of deliveries to-date to 8,141 units, making the Proton X50 as the segment's best-seller.

Combined with the 1,475 units of the Proton X70 delivered in February, Proton has sold a total of 4,820 SUVs.
Proton Saga still trails behind Perodua Bezza

The Proton Saga remains as Proton’s best-selling mode with 4,127 units delivered in February. It is also the first Proton model to be sold in Kenya, where it is locally-assembled (CKD) by Proton’s partner, Simba Corporation.
That said, the Perodua Bezza still outsells the Proton Saga. Sales figure of the Bezza will be made known once Perodua announces their sales performance.

The Proton Persona regained its lead in the B-segment sedan category with 1,818 units delivered. The Proton Exora remained as the best-selling of the C-segment MPV category (361 units delivered) while the Proton Iriz grabbed third place for B-segment hatchbacks (650 units delivered).

Last but not least, Proton has also acknowledged its spare parts shortage problem and has reached out to affected owners.
