The Ativa was tested with the latest ASEAN NCAP Protocol (2021-2025) which includes motorcyclist safety as the fourth pillar. To recap, the current scoring pillars for ASEAN NCAP are:

• Adult Occupant Protection (AOP)
• Child Occupant Protection (COP)
• Safety Assist
• Motorcyclist Safety

The Perodua Ativa performed well in the dynamic crash testing with a perfect score for COP. AOP scores are average, and the Ativa’s existing safety systems helped to boost its scores too.

It ticks almost all the boxes for safety technologies.

Basic safety equipment of the Ativa include 6 airbags, ABS, ESC, and SBR.
Enhanced features for the Ativa include Lane Departure Warning (LDW) Forward Collision Warning (FCW), and Lane Keep Assist (LKA).

The Perodua Smart Drive Assist equipped on the Ativa encompasses a good amount of safety features like:

• Advanced Safety Assist (ASA)
• Driving Assist (ACC, LKC, BSM, LDW)
• Parking Assist
• Headlamp Assist

The final ASEAN NCAP score of the Perodua Ativa is 83.4%, which makes it a 5-star rated car.
