This is in line with MINI's target to deliver at least 50% of its cars in electric form by 2027. From that point onwards, MINI will aim to have a fully electric vehicle range by the early 2030s (which, if you think about it, isn't really that far away).

MINI will need all the help it can get to reach its goal. Currently, the MINI SE electric vehicles are built in its plant in Oxford, England. From 2023, the new Countryman wil be built in Leipzig, Germany, and will employ an electric-ready architecture. In the same year, MINI will collaborate with Great Wall Motors to build MINI Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) in China.
