When the all-new 2021 Honda HR-V was unveiled in Japan (where it’s called the Honda Vezel) a couple of months ago in February, there were some accessories offered to customers. They added a touch of class to the already mature-looking RV-gen HR-V but if you wanted something sportier, Mugen has the solution.
With prices officially announced, that meant the aftermarket tuners are opening up their catalogues to offer fast-looking accessories for the HR-V in Japan.
As Mugen is Honda’s in-house aftermarket brand, it makes sense for them to be the first to offer accessories for the all-new HR-V. This includes the “Sports Style” package that includes a front spoiler, side skirts, and a rear skirt.
Besides, Mugen is also offering other accessories including a roof spoiler and a tailgate spoiler. Double spoilers for double aerodynamic efficiency? Nah, but it’s definitely a great conversation piece.
Adding on the rice sporty look is a choice of either CU10 or MDW aluminium wheels, both 18 inches in size as well as stainless steel exhausts with titanium finishers for that extra pop.
Looking fast is all you’re getting in the Mugen HR-V as there are no performance upgrades offered. Well, there is an air filter derived from Super GT and Super Formula cars that provide 10% better flow than the stock filter.
For the interior, you could choose between two floor mat sets – a black/red combination or pure red, as well as scuff plates, door lining protectors, and a boot floor mat but those are pretty much it.
Prices for the accessories start from JPY 260,000 (RM 9,900) for the Sports Style bodykit while the full interior kit starts from JPY 74,000 (RM 2,820). Would you fancy the Mugen kit over the ones by Honda Access that we featured before?
