A volunteer officer (Rela) on duty in front of SMK Kota Kemuning has lodged a police report after a BMW 1 Series tried to run him down. The incident was caught on camera at around 5.20 pm on Wednesday and has since gone viral overnight.
Kosmo reports that the Rela had stopped the BMW from going further in the lane as the road has been turned into a one-way street during peak hours under the school principal’s instruction.
This is to ensure smoother traffic for parents and for the students to get off safely.
In the video, witnesses could be heard condemning the BMW’s actions and for hurting the Rela officer’s leg.
Shah Alam district police chief, ACP Baharudin Mat Taib confirmed that they will be calling up both parties involved to the police station for further questioning. A full investigation is underway.
