If the recent spate of spyshots tell anything, it's that Malaysia won't be lacking of new models in the near future: seen here is the upcoming 2021 Hyundai Palisade, and beside it, the 2021 Genesis GV80.
Back in March, we reported that Hyundai Sime Darby Motors (HSDM) will be introducing the Palisade sometime this year. It's a premium 7-seater SUV, powered with a naturally-aspirated Atkinson-cycle 3.8-litre direct-injected V6 engine that produces 291 PS and 355 Nm.

But that may not be too soon. Curiously, the Palisade seen in Careta's photos is left-hand drive, which probably means its the same training car owned by the now-closed Hyundai regional training centre.

Next to it is the Genesis GV80. It's also a 7-seater SUV, but much more premium than the Palisade.
Although we're not sure what engine is in this particular car, the GV80 comes with a range of engines in other markets: there's 2.5- and 3.5-litre turbocharged petrol mills, and a sole 3.0-litre diesel option.
Standard creature comforts across the range include a digital instrument cluster, 14.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and power-adjustable leather seats.
There's also 10 airbags and a complete suite of ADAS features including adaptive cruise control with stop & go (ACC), forward collision warning (FCW), and lane keeping assist (LKA). And yes, these are available on all variants.
Don't read too much into the GV80 just yet though. Considering the brand's less-than-stellar last attempt in Malaysia, there are no plans to reintroduce the brand here - meaning this may very well just be an internal use car.
