The Road Transport Department (JPJ) will grant a 9-month extension to Learner’s Driving License (LDL) holders beginning 11 February to 11 November 2021.
All LDL holders have to do to extend their LDL is to make a copy of their license with a RM 10 fee. The date printed on the LDL is the date they made the transaction which is also the date of commencement.

The same applies for LDL B2 holders, they will be allowed to extend their LDLs for 3 months if the license still has a validity of 2 years. A fee of RM 2 is required.
However, Dr Wee highlighted that the extension only applies to drivers whose LDL that will be expiring or have expired between 13 January to 11 November 2021.

“If the expiry date of the LDL is more than two years before or after the MCO (before 13 Jan or after 11 Nov), they will not qualify for the extension.”
These drivers will have to repeat their KPP 01, KPP 02, and KPP 03 training as well as all other examinations in Part 1, 2, and 3.
