Waiting list for Honda City Hatchback in Indonesia extends to Aug, doubles Jazz's sales

Looks like Indonesians aren't missing the Honda Jazz all that much, as evident by the Honda City Hatchback receiving over 3,000 bookings so far.
Introduced in March 2021 to supersede the Jazz, PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM) has so far delivered over 1,500 units of the City Hatchback to customers, and the waiting list currently stretches until August.
This means the City Hatchback comfortably cruises past HPM's 1,000 unit per month target. Autonetmagz says that this almost doubles the previous-gen's Jazz's sales that averaged around 550 to 600 units monthly.
Part of the reason why the City Hatchback flies off showrooms is the relaxation of the Malaysia's SST-equivalent, “Pajak Penjualan atas Barang Mewah” (PPnBM) tax for locally-assembled vehicles (CKD), which allows for the hatch to be priced more competitively.
Meanwhile, Yusak Billy, the Business Innovation and Sales & Marketing Director of HPM says that HPM is doing all they can to "speed up production, so customers don't have to wait too long".
