Looks like road bullies have yet again forgotten the presence of dashcams and what charges incriminating evidence can bring upon them! A Proton X50 driver was caught on camera not only giving another road user the finger but also dangerously brake testing the individual.
In the 42 second video uploaded by user knnyshera, the grey Proton X50 was seen committing multiple road offences by first dangerously changing lanes without indicating, then trying to make a U-Turn at a junction where it is not allowed.
Although the video is muted, the uploader mentioned that they honked at the X50 hence the driver’s reaction of sticking out his hand to curse at the uploader.
To make matters worse, the uploader also noted in various social media posts that there was a heavy lorry behind them. When the X50 started brake testing them, they were worried about the lorry rear-ending their car.
The victim has since filed a police report about the incident. Initial investigations revealed that the X50 is registered to a 68-year-old woman in Perak. At the time of the incident, it was driven by the owner’s 24-year-old grandson.
According to updates, the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) has hauled the 24-year-old up to the station for questioning.
The case is currently investigated under Section 506 of the Penal Code for threatening and intimidation without damage. If charges stick, the 24-year-old will be facing a 2-year jail sentence, fined, or both.
