Following its introduction in Thailand, the 2021 BMW iX3 has found its way to Singapore. BMW Asia and Performance Motors Limited have launched the electric SUV in Singapore earlier today. The company previewed a left-hand drive version of BMW iX3 in Singapore back in January.
Available in a sole Impressive variant, the Singapore-spec model is imported (CBU) from the BMW Brilliance Automotive Plant Dadong in Shenyang, China – just like the Thai-spec model. The sole Impressive variant is priced atSGD 252,888 (~RM 784k).
The Singapore-spec BMW iX3 is largely similar to the Thai-spec model. The Singapore iX3 is also powered an electric motor capable of delivering 286 PS and 400 Nm. It takes the BMW iX3 6.8 seconds to complete the century sprint and top speed is electronically-limited to 180 km/h.
Power comes from an 80-kWh battery pack located in the vehicle floor. Under the WLTP test cycle, BMW says that the iX3 can travel up to 460 km.
When connected to a 150-kW DC charger, it takes just 34 minutes to charge from 0% to 80%. It is also compatible with all Type 2 public charging stations that are widely available across Singapore.
ChargeNow, a mobility service of BMW i, gives drivers access to one of the largest network of public charging stations located in various office buildings, shopping malls, hotels, and industrial parks in Singapore by using the BMW i ChargeNow card.
Payment of the electric current used is made via the ChargeNow card or the relevant smartphone app.
Closer to home, considering that BMW Malaysia has teased the imminent arrival of the BMW iX and BMW i4, the smaller BMW iX3 should be finding its way here as well.
