Watch: Tesla Model X owner tries to fly with gull-wing and smashes it into bus

Tesla has made a huge deal about the Tesla Model X’s automatic rear gullwing doors. By now, you’ve probably seen the videos of the SUV presenting its special ‘dancing’ gullwing doors, so we’re really at a loss to see how someone can forget to close the door then proceeds to go full speed and smashes the door into a bus.

The incident happened in North London and was recorded by a passer-by. The driver seemed entirely oblivious to the open door as it sped right up after leaving a parking lot.

This is strange considering the Model X has plenty of alarms that will alert the driver of an open door or boot.

Safe to say that repairing the Model X’s door is not going to be cheap. And we highly suspect that the driver will also have to pay for the repairs on the bus as well as any injuries the bus driver may have sustained.
