Tengku Djan’s D1GP drift machine is a 1,100 PS V8 Toyota GR Supra!

Tengku Djan Ley is no stranger in the local and international drift scene. With appearances in the D1 Grand Prix, Formula Drift Asia and D1GP China.

This year, Djan will be participating in the 2020 season D1 Grand Prix under Evangelion Racing. His weapon of choice, a 1,100 PS V8-powered Toyota GR Supra.

The GR Supra is fitted with a 3UZ-FE V8 petrol engine taken from a Lexus GS 430/LS 430 that has been stroked to 4.4-litres and slapped on with a Garret G42 turbocharger.

At maximum boost pressure of 2.25 bar, the GR Supra will have 1,100 PS and 1,078 Nm of torque at Djan’s disposal. Tasked to handle power transfer is a Samsonas sequential transmission.

The 2020 season D1GP has been postponed to 23 – 24 July with the opening round be held in Okuibuki Motorpark and it will be a closed-door event with no spectators allowed.
