GR Heritage expands parts reproduction for Toyota AE86 so tofu deliveries can go on without a hitch

Doing deliveries can be quite a burden to a vehicle, especially if one has to drive across winding roads at breakneck speeds just to keep their produce fresh.

Well, there’s good news for those who use the Toyota Sprinter Trueno/Corolla Levin AE86 as a delivery car as Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR) has announced reproduction of parts for the famed “hachi-roku”.

The AE86 joins the A70 and A80 Supra, the Toyota 2000GT, as well as the 40 Series Land Cruiser as the next model in TGR’s GR Heritage Parts Project.

The legendary sports car continues to have a cult following among fans. That popularity certainly blew up in no part thanks to a certain manga/anime involving the adventures of a tofu delivery driver.

The reproduced parts for now only consists of the rear brake callipers, steering knuckle arms, and rear driveshafts. However, the parts will only be reproduced for a limited period and once production ends, each part will only be available for purchase as long as stocks last.
